Feeling overwhelmed by the amount of contradictory information on birth and babies? Unsure of what you don't know, and what you might need to know? Feeling a bit untethered in your pregnancy? Prenatal preparation is a combination of prenatal education, planning, and connecting to help you feel grounded and at ease as you move into birth and postpartum.

We will draw from a balance of evidence-based information and your own intuition and values. Our sessions might involve some art making, games, and hands-on practice—it's not a lecture! We will learn at your pace, and in styles that work for you.

Prenatal preparation includes:

  • Sessions on birth, postpartum, infant feeding, and newborn care, as well as anything else that is important to you!

  • Custom digital resource package

  • Recommendations for local practitioners, groups, and services

This offering is available virtually or in-person. Families welcoming a baby through adoption or surrogacy are welcome, and may wish to focus preparation on newborn care and transitioning into parenthood.

Thanks for getting in touch!

I am a white settler of Scottish/Irish/Welsh/English descent living on unceded Lekwungen territory (home to Songhees and Esquimalt nations). I acknowledge the harm caused by generations of settler colonialism on these territories, particularly the impact on family traditions and family structure. I commit to centering anti-colonialism and reproductive justice in my doula practice. I uplift Indigenous birth workers, knowledge keepers, elders, parents, and little ones who are leading the way.
